Job Title: DevOps Engineer (Strong Ansible) Location: Remote, Occasional visits to London or Sheffield Office Duration: 6months Contract Inside IR35 500GBP/Day Inside IR35 Banking Client Experience required Job Description We are looking for an experienced DevOps Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Ansible Automation Platform to support large-scale automation initiatives within a banking environment. The role involves developing, maintaining, and optimizing automation frameworks to ensure secure, reliable, and consistent infrastructure operations. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and manage Ansible-based automation solutions for configuration management, provisioning, and deployment. Maintain and scale Ansible Tower / Automation Platform across multiple environments. Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Support and enhance configuration drift detection and remediation in production systems. Troubleshoot automation failures and ensure high availability and compliance in banking systems. Drive process standardization and automation efficiency across global technology teams. Required Skills & Experience: 5 years of experience in DevOps or Infrastructure Automation, preferably within banking or financial services. Expert-level knowledge of Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Ansible Automation Platform. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of Linux administration, network fundamentals, and infrastructure as code concepts. Experience working in regulated enterprise environments with a focus on security and compliance. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Nice to Have: Exposure to Event-Driven Ansible, Terraform, or Kubernetes. Experience with cloud automation (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
