Cyber Security Specialist Security Configuration Compliance SME (Qualys) Competitive rate – Inside IR35 6 month initial contract Remote (London 1-2 days per month) Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Configuration Compliance SME (Qualys) to join our Financial Services client. This role is critical in ensuring their systems and infrastructure comply with internal and external security standards. The successful candidate will have deep technical expertise in configuration compliance tools and system administration, along with strong analytical and communication skills. Project Scope Our client is seeking a Qualys Subject Matter Expert to support their configuration compliance program, with responsibilities including: Interpreting and restructuring security build guides and related documentation Creating configuration compliance policies using the Qualys Policy Audit service Collaborating with technology teams to review and validate the restructured documentation Key Responsibilities Perform configuration compliance scanning using Qualys Policy Compliance / Policy Audit (experience in other compliance tools such as Symantec, Tanium, and Tenable would be helpful) Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with security standards Support the development and refinement of compliance policies and automation scripts Provide expert guidance on system hardening and configuration validation The role is based predominately remote with very occasional time on site (1 or 2 days per month).
