Programme Manager

Job Title: Programme Manager Experience: 4 years minimum, with experience in managing projects/programmes. Preferably experience & a background in Design & Technology. Job Description: CALLUM is a rapidly growing Design & Engineering consultancy and vehicle manufacture looking for talented Programme Managers to join our existing Programme Team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their career and work on some of the world’s most exciting Automotive & Lifestyle Design projects. In this role you will work with our multi-disciplinary Design, Engineering & Ops teams; managing and steering programmes through gateways from concept to production. Reporting directly to the Head of Programmes, this is a position of responsibility. You will own whole programmes and be responsible for successful delivery of programmes to our clients. We need keen, driven and focussed people, who can understand specific detail about their programmes, but also see the bigger picture and how these fit into the CALLUM portfolio. The desire to learn, grow & succeed will be more important than specific project experience as CALLUM branch out into new industries and products. Principal responsibilities: Managing multiple Design and Engineering Programmes; picking up from initial concept & product definition, managing it through the design & development process and handing over to delivery Leading and working with the Programme teams to solve challenging design & engineering problems, always keeping one eye on the commercial implications Ensuring we meet both our internal and our Client deliverables Managing timelines, budgets and risks Understanding and allocating the required resource for projects, and managing interdependences between projects Managing interactions with our clients; building positive, open and collaborative relationships Capturing & Investigating business opportunities from ongoing client project activities Accurate and timely reporting of programme status to clients and internal stakeholders incl. the Head of Programmes & Directors Skills we’re looking for Project management experience in a design or technology business A project management track-record, gained within a highly technical and team-oriented environment Strong organisational and time management skills with experience of formal programme reporting Ability to communicate ideas and work flexibly within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team Excellent written and verbal communication skills – articulate and diplomatic Experience of planning tasks and defining project scope, goals and deliverables Ability to track project progress and deliver on-time and on budget Ability to address issues as they arise, and both make and drive decisions Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills Possess the right to work in the UK Desirable, but not essential: Experience working for a Consultancy with both OEM & Private Clients Salary Negotiable on experience CALLUM Values & Vision Vision To create world leading design and engineered products, that create stories and leave legacies, whilst having fun!
