Sales Manager (B2B) – Tuna Remote (National travel required) £60,000 car allowance benefits We’re partnering with a well-established and growing food business as they look to strengthen their protein division with the hire of a National Account Manager. This is a commercial growth role focused on the industrial and foodservice markets – manufacturers, contract caterers, and wholesalers. Reporting into a highly experienced senior team, you’ll take ownership of the tuna portfolio and help shape how the business penetrates and scales within these high-value channels. You’ll work as part of a tight-knit team with deep expertise across a variety of protein categories. This role is a unique blend of strategic thinking, customer development, and hands-on commercial execution – ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Key Responsibilities: Own and grow the Tuna category P&L across UK industrial and foodservice channels Deliver revenue, margin, and mix targets across canned, pouched, frozen, and private label formats Lead tenders and framework bids, collaborating with technical, procurement, and finance Win new business and develop accounts in contract catering, QSR, and manufacturing Translate market and commodity insights (e.g. skipjack/yellowfin trends) into actionable customer plans Guide technical specs, menu applications, and sustainability/traceability discussions Forecast SKU-level demand and work cross-functionally to manage supply and service Support key audits and ensure compliance with BRCGS, HACCP, MSC, IUU and other regulations What we’re looking for: 5 years’ experience selling seafood or ambient protein into UK industrial or foodservice Solid understanding of yield, formats, pricing, and specification for tuna products Hands-on experience managing tenders, frameworks, and multi-site agreements Strong commercial acumen with excellent Excel/CRM/forecasting skills Confident communicator and natural relationship builder – can hold their own at senior level Familiarity with technical and sourcing standards (MSC, HACCP, etc.) Experience working across distributors and buying groups is advantageous Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally This role suits someone with a strong grasp of protein categories, who can combine instinct and insight to help grow a focused and fast-moving business.
