Key Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Project Engineer include: Lead the design and engineering of HV/LV electrical systems for large-scale renewable energy and grid integration projects. Deliver feasibility studies and technical assessments, providing expert input to support project planning and execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into wider infrastructure. Conduct system modelling, simulation, and optimisation to maximise performance, safety, and efficiency. Support commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure high-quality project outcomes. Candidate Requirements Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (Bachelors or Masters level) or equivalent. Chartered Engineer status (or working towards) with relevant professional accreditation. Proven expertise in power generation systems, grid connection, and SCADA applications. In-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations, including IEC, ENA, and BS7671. Proficiency with system design tools (e.g., MATLAB, AutoCAD) alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
