We are looking for an experienced Strategic Procurement Manager to join our small, busy team, likely to manage the Technology/Marketing categories. The role is full time and permanent, although we would consider a flexible working arrangement with the right candidate. The role can be office-based at any of our regional offices or worked in a hybrid way between home and an office. Regular meeting attendance at our Swindon office is essential to the role, as well as visits to other offices and sites as required. As Strategic Procurement Manager, you will: - Guide, advise and support stakeholders to plan, prepare and run procurement activities, including evaluation and moderation processes - Advise on contractual templates, drafting and contract award - experience of working with MSA/SoWs and public sector frameworks would be an advantage - Lead and deliver elements of procurement training to key stakeholders - Support vendor/supplier management processes, including guidance, disputes and escalations - Input into procurement policy, resources and template updates - Other activities to raise the profile of procurement and support better buying behaviour To be considered for the role, you'll need: - Experience in a hands-on procurement role - Understanding of public sector/charity organisations - Experience in contract drafting/framework call offs or working with a preferred supplier list - Exposure and understanding of contract management approach and techniques - Excellent organisation, communication and engagement skills at all levels - Ability to work independently and flexibly - MCIPS qualified - we will consider applications from candidates qualified at a lower level of CIPS who are committed to completing the Diploma To apply, please provide a copy of your current CV plus a covering letter (neither should be more than 2 pages of A4), setting out your interest in the role and the organisation, including relevant experience.
