Job Description Job Description We are a fast growing construction company in Chicago seeking an experienced Superintendent for commercial construction. The construction Superintendent responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management, including, but not limited to, Estimating, Project Planning, Sub Contractor Procurement, Cost Management, Schedule Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, Client Relations, Safety Management and Project Close-Out. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in construction projects. Must be a hard working, ambitious professional with a positive attitude. Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering or architecture or is required. Strong computer skills, especially using spreadsheet software, are required. Excellent communication skills and must be able to effectively communicate with clients Good understanding of construction practices and MEP building systems. The superintendent responsibilities are as follows: 1. Runs the project onsite daily 2. Read and understand blueprints and specs 3. Coordinates subcontractors 4. Provides weekly schedules that tie out to the master project schedule. 5. Completes daily photos and daily reports before end of business every day. 6. Handles weekly tool box talks on safety 7. Coordinates inspections 8. Coordinates utilities 9. Reviews shop drawings and specs to ensure scope 10. Run multiple projects at once and will include travel for projects.
