Location: Laval, QC - 3 days per week on-site Contract Duration: 12 months with a possibility of extension or conversion to permanent Working Hours: M-F 40 hours per week Job Title: Document and Configuration Management Analyst Position Overview The Document and Configuration Management Analyst is responsible for ensuring the proper control, maintenance, and release of all technical and company-level documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards. This role supports the creation, organization, and distribution of critical project documentation, maintaining data integrity throughout the product lifecycle. Acting as a key contributor to documentation quality and consistency, the Analyst will review and edit technical content to ensure clarity, professionalism, and compliance with established standards. Additionally, the role provides first-line support for users of Siemens Teamcenter , the organization’s Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system. Key Responsibilities Document Management Manage and control engineering and company-level documentation, including policies, processes, work instructions, reports, and memos. Ensure documents are properly versioned, approved, and archived in Teamcenter . Collaborate with document owners to manage reviews, approvals, and releases according to company procedures, ensuring all approvals are properly tracked. Support compliance within an AS9100 environment, addressing customer and regulatory (FAA, EASA, etc.) requirements. Technical Editing Review and edit documents for clarity, accuracy, consistency, and grammatical precision while maintaining technical integrity. Work with subject matter experts (SMEs) and technical authors to improve document quality and completeness. Ensure all documentation adheres to company standards, templates, and style guides. Assist in developing new document templates and promoting standardization across teams. PLM and Configuration Management Support Coordinate and support configuration item releases, including change tracking, configuration management, and approval workflows. Troubleshoot technical issues such as login/access problems and common system errors. Support testing of new Teamcenter functionality and system updates prior to deployment. Recommend process improvements based on user feedback and recurring system issues. Assist with onboarding and training new users on Teamcenter, including best practices and feature overviews. Develop and maintain user guides, FAQs, and knowledge base materials to improve user self-sufficiency. Reporting and Compliance Generate and maintain reports related to document control and configuration management. Produce audit trails and documentation for internal reviews, audits, and management reporting. Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) for documentation, configuration, and helpdesk activities, highlighting risks or issues requiring attention. Qualifications Core Skills Strong customer service mindset with the ability to support users effectively and professionally. Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance multiple priorities. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Exceptional editing, proofreading, and formatting abilities with a strong eye for detail. Hands-on experience with Siemens Teamcenter , including creating, managing, and releasing data objects (parts, documents, and change items), and supporting configuration-controlled workflows. Solid understanding of lifecycle states, metadata management, and cross-functional collaboration within a PLM environment. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in English, Technical Writing, Communications, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). 2–4 years of experience in technical editing, writing, or document control within an engineering, manufacturing, or product development environment. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat) and document management platforms (e.g., Teamcenter, SharePoint). Certification in Document Control or Configuration Management (e.g., CCMP) is an asset. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools such as Jira and Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
