Project Manager

Project Manager – HV/LV Connections £58,000 to £68,000 Company Car Benefits Location: Worcestershire, UK (with regional travel) We’re looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of HV and LV electrical infrastructure projects across the UK. This role suits someone who knows the DNO/IDNO landscape, understands NERS requirements, and has proven experience managing end-to-end connection works from design through to commissioning. You’ll be joining a growing team with a strong pipeline of grid, private network and renewable connection projects, offering long term development and progression. What you will be responsible for: Managing projects from feasibility through to handover, ensuring safety, quality and timescales are met Delivering LV and HV works including substations, diversions, service connections and private network upgrades Coordinating design, civil works, jointing teams and commissioning activities Preparing and managing project programmes, budgets, change control and reporting Working closely with DNOs, IDNOs, developers, local authorities and internal delivery teams Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations, H&S legislation, and company policies We’re looking for someone with: Strong understanding of UK DNO/GDNO standards and NERS processes Experience delivering multi-site or complex HV/LV projects (230V to 11kV) Knowledge of network design, switchgear, protection, jointing and civil interfaces Commercial awareness and experience working with NEC or JCT contracts Clear, confident stakeholder communication skills and the ability to lead teams Qualifications and background that would stand out: SMSTS or SSSTS, IOSH or NEBOSH (or working towards) ECS/CSCS, HV Authorisation or SAP experience is an advantage Experience working on projects with UKPN, SSEN, NGED, ENWL, SPEN or NPG Familiarity with IDNOs such as GTC, Energy Assets, ESP, Last Mile etc Proficiency using MS Project or Primavera and confident reviewing design drawings Personal qualities: Safety-first mindset Calm decision-making in technical or high-pressure situations Strong leadership and collaboration skills Clear communicator with a practical, solution-focused approach
