Job Description
Overview Mid-Career Propulsion Structural Analysis Engineer at Boeing, located in São José dos Campos, Brazil. Reports to the Propulsion Structures Engineering Manager. Position Responsibilities Guide development, integration and documentation of structural requirements to establish the system design. Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using and developing analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance. Guide development of test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze/report test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Support in-service products by leading investigations into failures and analyzing improvements. Develop analytical processes/tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) Must have existing rights to work in Brazil. Must have a degree in Engineering. Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Proficient in both verbal and written communications in English. Relevant experience with structural engineering. Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience) Experience in structural analysis methods and tools (hand-calculation and finite element analysis). Experience in design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials. Experience in durability and damage tolerance analysis. Experience in compliance demonstration for regulatory requirements (ANAC/FAA). Experience in Fleet Support and Repair design and substantiation. Relocation Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense. Additional Information This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil.
