Job Description
Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a Canadian senior crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. We are looking for a contractor to fill a 12 month maternity leave. The Business Systems Analyst will provide critical support for Tourmaline’s Accounting and Finance systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and compliance. This role combines technical system expertise with business process understanding in a dynamic, fast-paced energy sector environment. Key Responsibilities: Support and coordinate system upgrades, maintenance, and issue resolution. Lead and support system implementations — including requirements gathering, process mapping, testing coordination, and documentation. Liaise with auditors, business users, and IT to support CSOX and GITC audit requirements. Manage testing cycles for system changes to ensure minimal disruption to users. Build strong relationships with business stakeholders and system vendors. Oversee change management processes to maintain proper system control and data integrity. Qualifications: 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, ideally within E&P companies. 2 years supporting Accounting and Finance departments. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and OpenInvoice (preferred). Proven success implementing workforce management solutions. Strong business analysis, problem-solving, and communication skills. Self-starter with ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to change. Works effectively both independently and collaboratively.
