We are now seeking a Finance Manager to join our Senior Management Team and lead the accounts department. You will lead the financial management and reporting function of the company, contributing to the companys financial planning whilst ensuring sound financial governance. This role reports directly to the Managing Director and offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future success of WineFlair and has the possibility to lead to a more Senior Role. Key Responsibilities Prepare and deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, board analysis and balance sheet reconciliations ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Prepare additional financial reports and to present such at Board Meetings when required by the Managing Director. Contribute to overall business profitability and growth by overseeing accurate forecasting, budgeting, cash flow planning and reporting. Prepare annual audit pack and oversee the annual external audit process. Provide information and analysis on the financial aspects of strategic projects. Monitor activities and budgets for each department to ensure budgets are adhered to. Assist with Head Office payroll on a monthly basis. Prepare and submit all statutory returns including VAT returns and management of the pension scheme and employee benefits. Work with our IT Manager to maximise the use of current finance systems and software to ensure they are implemented in an efficient way. Contribute to effective coordination between finance and other departments. Proactively manage relationships with the bank, auditors, solicitors, service providers and business advisers to ensure compliance and enhance business operations. Maintain knowledge of any new initiatives and legislation relating to the financial management of the business and advise accordingly. Management of the Accounts Team: Foster a culture of accountability and high performance within the small Accounts team. Work with department team members to ensure they are adequately trained in their job duties. Skills & Experience: Essential Criteria: Educated to degree level or equivalent and CA or CIMA qualified. At least 3-5 years post qualification experience. Previous experience in a commercial environment Proven experience of preparing financial and management accounts, reports and data and providing analysis of those reports. Proven experience of budget preparation and financial forecasting. Be familiar with current accounting software systems and management systems for accounting functions. Experience of liaising with key external stakeholders Ability to work within a team but also be self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
