TRANSPORT PLANNER – Excellent career opportunity RICKMANSWORTH HIGHLY COMPETITIVE SALARY DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE CIRCA £35-40K About the Role Our client is seeking a proactive and organised Transport Planner to join their team in Watford. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and planning skills who thrives in a busy environment. As a Transport Planner, you will be responsible for planning daily activities, liaising closely with drivers and subcontractors, and ensuring a smooth and efficient operation that meets customers' requirements. Key Responsibilities * Plan and schedule daily transport operations to ensure timely deliveries and collections. * Communicate effectively with customers, drivers, and subcontractors to coordinate transport plans. * Monitor delivery progress and address any operational issues or delays. * Support drivers with route planning, documentation, and day-to-day queries. * Provide excellent customer service by keeping clients informed and managing expectations. * Ensure compliance with transport legislation and company policies. * Maintain accurate records of transport activities, costs, and performance. Skills & Experience * Previous experience in transport planning desirable. * Strong organisational and time management skills. * Excellent communication. * Ability to work under pressure and solve problems effectively. * Knowledge of UK road transport regulations and geography is advantageous.
