Job Description
Project Engineer (Process/Chemical) Join one of the UK’s most respected names in premium drinks production- a business combining craftsmanship with cutting-edge innovation. We’re looking for a Project Engineer to deliver key capital and improvement projects across a flagship manufacturing site, shaping the future of distillation, maturation, utilities, and environmental performance. This role is located in Ayrshire and would require full on-site presence. Relocation support is on offer for the right candidate with plenty of guidance to help move to Scotland's stunning west coast. The Opportunity You’ll manage end-to-end delivery of small-to-medium capital projects (typically £500k–£5m), from feasibility and business case development through to execution, commissioning, and post-project review. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to complex, multidisciplinary engineering environments and significant long-term investment programmes. Key Responsibilities Lead full project lifecycles across manufacturing and utilities infrastructure. Develop feasibility studies, engineering designs, and contractor scopes. Build robust investment cases with clear CAPEX justification. Partner with operations, maintenance, and HSE teams to ensure compliance and excellence. Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Track capital performance and embed continuous improvement in project standards. About You Proven experience delivering capital projects within the drinks, chemical, pharmaceutical, or food sectors. Degree (or equivalent) in Chemical or Process Engineering. Comfortable operating in highly regulated environments (e.g. COMAH). A proactive, solutions-focused engineer with ambition to broaden scope and responsibility over time.
