Senior Insurance Officer – Construction Location: North West (Hybrid Working) Salary: Competitive Benefits Join one of our leading construction clients as an Senior Insurance Officer , supporting major projects across the North West and beyond. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced insurance professional with a strong background in the construction industry to take ownership of risk and insurance management in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. About the Role As the Insurance Officer, you’ll be responsible for coordinating and managing all aspects of insurance and risk across large-scale construction projects. You’ll work closely with project, commercial, and finance teams, ensuring the business is fully protected through robust insurance coverage and effective claims management. Key Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day management of insurance programmes across construction projects and business operations. Liaise with insurers, brokers, and internal stakeholders to ensure appropriate and cost-effective cover. Manage and coordinate insurance claims, ensuring timely and accurate submissions. Review project contracts, tenders, and subcontractor agreements to identify and mitigate insurance-related risks. Maintain accurate insurance registers, records, and documentation. Support annual renewals, audits, and policy reviews. Provide expert advice on insurance clauses, indemnities, and risk transfer to project and commercial teams. Contribute to risk management initiatives and promote best practice across the organisation. About You Proven experience in an insurance or risk management role within the construction sector (essential). Strong understanding of key construction-related policies (CAR, PI, EL/PL, Property, etc.). Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. Analytical mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
