Senior Product Manager

Product Manager Location: London / Hybrid Contract Type: 12-Month Fixed Term Contract Working Pattern: Full-time Clearance: BPSS eligible We’re looking for an experienced Product Manager to join a major UK government project driving the safe and responsible adoption of AI across departments. You’ll shape the strategy and roadmap for AI-enabled solutions, including Microsoft Copilot, helping policy teams use AI to improve workflows, productivity, and decision-making. What you’ll do Partner with policy teams to identify and deliver opportunities for AI and Copilot solutions that enhance efficiency and outcomes. Collaborate with researchers, designers, and technical experts to define product strategies and prioritise deliverables based on user needs and discovery insights. Evaluate when to use standard Copilot solutions versus bespoke product development, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and wider programme strategy. Translate user and policy requirements into clear, measurable product features and roadmaps. Monitor delivery progress, track performance, and iteratively refine strategies based on feedback and data. Promote user-centred design and share best practice across policy teams to maximise the impact of AI adoption. What we’re looking for Proven experience as a Product Manager in large, complex, or UK government digital projects . Strong understanding of policy-making environments and how technology can support them. Experience working with AI tools , particularly Microsoft Copilot or Microsoft 365 , with the ability to assess feasibility and impact. Skilled communicator, confident engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. Background in agile delivery , with a focus on defining value, measurable goals, and user-centred outcomes. Excellent organisational and analytical skills, comfortable managing multiple priorities and evolving requirements.
