Assembly Technician (Mechanical) Location: Crawley Hours: 39.5 hours per week (Mon–Fri) Contract: Permanent About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Assembly Technician (Mechanical) to join a leading manufacturing company. This hands-on role involves precision assembly, mechanical and electrical testing, and quality assurance of high-specification components. You’ll be working as part of a dedicated production team, contributing to new production lines using modern cell assembly techniques. Key Responsibilities Mechanical assembly of precision-engineered components and sub-assemblies Performing quality control checks following detailed production instructions Conducting functionality and electrical safety tests Maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workstation at all times Assisting in other departments (stores, packing, testing) when required Essential Skills & Qualifications GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths & English (Grade C or above) Previous experience in mechanical assembly using fine tooling Basic electrical wiring experience Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Ability to work independently and plan work efficiently Fluent written and spoken English Training & Development Full factory-based training will be provided to familiarise you with company products, components, and assembly/testing processes.
