About the Role We’re seeking a Geotechnical Engineer to join a growing team and play a key role in delivering diverse ground engineering and geoenvironmental projects. This is a great opportunity for someone developing toward chartered status who wants to work on technically challenging and rewarding projects, supported by an experienced senior team. The role offers a balanced mix of site and office-based work — from investigation and analysis to interpretation, design, and reporting. You’ll manage commercial projects under the guidance of senior technical staff, ensuring delivery to the highest technical, financial, and programme standards. Key Responsibilities Manage and deliver geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects (typically £20–100k). Prepare accurate, high-quality factual and interpretative reports with minimal review required. Develop robust ground models, contamination risk assessments, and defensible design assumptions. Conduct site supervision and data collection following company SOPs and safety standards. Present findings confidently to clients, regulators, and co-consultants. Support cost control, scheduling, and overall project management. Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication. Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. Progress toward professional chartership (CEng, CGeol, CEnv, or CSci). About You Degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, or related discipline. 1–5 years’ experience in geotechnical or geoenvironmental consultancy. Strong technical writing and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail. Experience in site investigations, reporting, and interpreting geotechnical data. Understanding of ground modelling, soil behaviour, and risk assessment. Confident communicator with strong teamwork and client-facing skills.
