Job Title: Conveyancing Solicitor Location: Preston, Lancashire Salary: Competitive DOE Job Type: Full-time, Permanent About the Role I am seeking an experienced and motivated Conveyancing Solicitor to join a reputable law firm based in Preston. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction to completion, providing exceptional service to clients and maintaining the firm’s strong reputation for quality and efficiency. Key Responsibilities Manage a full caseload of residential conveyancing transactions, including freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity. Handle all aspects of the conveyancing process, from initial instruction through to post-completion. Conduct title checks, draft and review contracts, raise and respond to enquiries, and liaise with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors. Ensure all files are maintained in compliance with SRA regulations and firm policies. Deliver a high level of client care, maintaining regular communication and providing clear, practical advice. Meet billing and performance targets while maintaining accuracy and efficiency. Keep up to date with changes in conveyancing law and practice. Skills & Experience Required Qualified Solicitor (1 years PQE) or Licensed Conveyancer with relevant experience. Proven track record of handling a full residential conveyancing caseload independently. Excellent knowledge of conveyancing procedures and relevant legislation. Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills. Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships. Confident in using case management systems and other legal software. Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
