Site Manager Taylor Woodrow Watford Taylor Woodrow, a leading infrastructure and civil engineering specialist, is seeking a Site Engineer to join a £13 million highways project in South London. This exciting project encompasses resurfacing, kerbing, paving, drainage, footways, roads, and public realm works. The successful candidate will be supported by a Senior Engineer on site. Key Responsibilities: Perform core site engineering duties, including accurate setting out of works using engineering drawings, specifications, and control points. Deliver key elements of external civil works, including pavement construction, road surfacing, kerb laying, and drainage installation, ensuring compliance with project and regulatory standards. Operate Leica TS16 Total Station and GPS surveying equipment to capture precise spatial data and support high-accuracy construction. Coordinate daily site operations with subcontractors and site teams to maintain workflow efficiency. Manage assigned tasks throughout the full project cycle, from site setup to final handover, upholding high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. Interpret and implement technical drawings, method statements, and risk assessments to ensure safe and effective on-site execution. Experience & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Setting Out Engineer on civils or highways schemes. HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering is desirable.
