Compliance & Operations Associate – 12 Month Fixed Term Contract London | circa £55,000 – £70,000 discretionary bonus benefits (including pension and private health cover) We’re partnering with a leading global financial advisory firm in their search for an experienced Compliance & Operations professional to join their London office on a 12-month fixed term contract. This is an exceptional opportunity for someone with at least five years’ experience in a regulated financial services environment to play a key role in supporting and enhancing the firm’s compliance and operational framework across its European offices. Working closely with the Chief Compliance Officer and the wider European Compliance team, this position offers significant scope, visibility, and responsibility within a highly professional, collaborative, and international environment. Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee client onboarding, including due diligence, KYC, AML, sanctions, and PEP screening across multiple jurisdictions. Support and enhance supplier onboarding and vendor due diligence in accordance with GDPR, Modern Slavery, and AML requirements. Coordinate integration processes for new entities, ensuring adherence to regulatory and operational standards. Manage and maintain FCA compliance activities, including SMCR certification, regulatory submissions, and periodic filings. Contribute to the firm’s compliance monitoring programme, audits, and risk assessments; draft and present reports to senior management. Support the development and delivery of compliance training and awareness initiatives across the business. Review, update, and enhance compliance policies, frameworks, and trackers to ensure they remain robust and up to date with regulatory change. Act as a point of contact for compliance queries from business teams, providing pragmatic and risk-based advice. About You Minimum 5 years’ experience in a compliance or operational compliance role within an FCA-regulated financial services firm (experience within investment banking, advisory, or asset management preferred). Strong understanding of KYC/AML frameworks, client onboarding, and regulatory reporting obligations. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and prioritise effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a high degree of professionalism and discretion. Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of Lexis Nexis, TranspariNT, or similar compliance systems advantageous.
