Legal Counsel City of London (Hybrid – two days in office) Full-time Competitive salary plus bonus and benefits Start date: As soon as possible About the Role Our client, a market-leading talent consultancy group, is seeking a commercially aware Legal Counsel with zero to two years post-qualification experience to support their in-house legal function. This hands-on position involves working across multiple recruitment brands, providing broad exposure, responsibility, and strong development opportunities within a fast-paced, people-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Review, draft, and negotiate commercial contracts, including client terms, supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and master service agreements Support the Bids and Contracts Team during tenders and negotiations Provide advice on recruitment, employment, and compliance matters such as IR35, Agency Workers Regulations, and Conduct Regulations Offer legal support to the General Counsel and various business functions Assist in developing contract templates, processes, and risk management strategies Prioritise legal tasks effectively in a fast-moving environment About You United Kingdom qualified Solicitor with zero to two years post-qualification experience Experience in commercial or employment law Understanding of recruitment sector legislation, including IR35, Agency Workers Regulations, and different worker models Strong contract review and negotiation skills Excellent communication, organisation, and attention to detail Proactive, collaborative, and able to work well under pressure What You Can Expect Hybrid working arrangement (two days in the office) Bonus, private healthcare, and a comprehensive benefits package Supportive and engaging culture with regular social events and recognition Christmas closure without the need to use annual leave Wellness, diversity, equity and inclusion, and employee engagement initiatives Genuine opportunity to grow your in-house legal career This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing, people-first organisation in a pivotal Legal Counsel role.
