Maintenance Operative - Facilities Management Location: PE1 postcode Rate: £17.55 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: 10/11/2025 - 01/02/2026 Your new role We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our Facilities Management team on-site. You will play a key role in ensuring the building fabric and associated services are maintained to the highest standards. Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance of building fabric. Perform basic plumbing and maintenance person duties as required. Minor carpentry/joinery and painting/decorating tasks. Escort subcontractors when necessary. Support the wider FM team with tasks to meet contracted KPIs. Raise Health & Safety observations and adhere to company HSE policies. Complete mandatory e-learning and training for safe working. Be available for out-of-hours work (additional remuneration provided). Undertake additional duties within capability as required. What you'll need to succeed: Previous experience in building maintenance or a similar role. Basic plumbing and carpentry skills. Strong awareness of Health & Safety procedures. Flexible approach and ability to work outside normal hours when required. What you'll get in return: Competitive hourly rate of £17.55 (Umbrella).
