Plumber

Our client based in Thamesmead, London has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Plumber to join their team as soon as possible! The role will be a temporary on going opportunity, working 08:00 - 16:30 Monday to Friday with a pay rate of £19.23 per hour. Working within a secure prison environment, the successful candidate will be required to carry our routine general plumbing and fitting work, preventative maintenance and repairs. Duties of the role will include:- Ensure that various pre-planned maintenance schedules are kept up to date Assist in multi trade support of other members of the FM service team Carry out fault finding and defect rectification in terms of installed plant and equipment Carry out the instillation of new plant and apparatus Assisting other members of the maintenance team Carry out investigations into the performance of the plant and equipment installed in the site and produce related reports as required Assist in specifying and obtaining spare parts Maintain records of tools and report this as required Escort contractors around the site as and when required Working as a key supporting function in the challenging environment of a secure establishment We are looking for someone who is flexible and proactive, has good interpersonal skills, ability to self-motivate and use own initiative, able to work to tight timescales, able to prioritise workload and communicate effectively at all levels both in writing and orally.
