Job Title: Welsh-Speaking Supply Teaching Assistant Location: Pwllheli, North Wales Contract Type: Temporary / Supply Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible About Us: We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Welsh-speaking Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team and support primary and secondary schools across Pwllheli . This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting education in Welsh-medium environments. As a Welsh-speaking Supply Teaching Assistant, you will support students learning and assist teachers in the delivery of lessons, ensuring all students receive a high-quality, inclusive education. Key Responsibilities: Support classroom teachers in the delivery of lessons and activities in both English and Welsh. Assist with the management of classroom behavior and ensure a positive, safe learning environment. Provide one-to-one or small group support to students, helping them with their individual learning needs. Help students with personal care needs where required, following school policies and safeguarding guidelines. Support students with additional learning needs (ALN), ensuring they are fully included in class activities. Assist in the preparation of learning materials and resources in both Welsh and English. Monitor and record students progress and report any concerns to the class teacher. Key Requirements: Fluency in Welsh Proficiency in the Welsh language is essential for this role. Experience working with children in an educational setting (desirable but not essential). Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage students in both Welsh and English. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude to working with children. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. A current DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
