Pharmacy Technician (Data Entry) – Contract-to-Hire Location: Arizona (Hybrid – Onsite & Remote) Pay Rate: $17.68/hour Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday Classification: Safety-Sensitive | Contract-to-Hire Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician (Data Entry) to support our mail order pharmacy operations. This position involves accurately researching, screening, and entering prescriptions into the pharmacy system while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and regulatory compliance. You will communicate with prescribers for clarification, handle escalated prescription issues, and complete required documentation and patient correspondence. Key Responsibilities Research and process prescription orders accurately and efficiently. Review and interpret prescription terminology and medication names. Clarify incomplete or unclear prescriptions with prescribers and document appropriately. Fax prescribers for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. Maintain production and quality standards in accordance with management expectations. Complete required patient correspondence letters and assist with other pharmacy duties as needed. Support workflow efficiency and continuous process improvement. Required Qualifications Active Arizona or Texas State Board of Pharmacy license or trainee registration (must be listed on resume). High school diploma or GED (verifiable). Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program. Minimum 3 months of pharmacy experience. Proficiency with computers, data entry, and pharmacy systems. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Ability to type efficiently and accurately. Understanding of commonly used generic drugs and routes of administration. Working knowledge of Latin symbols used in prescriptions. Strong math skills, including dosage and days’ supply calculations. Ability to meet productivity and quality metrics. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Work Arrangement Details Initial Onsite Requirement: Must work onsite for the first 8 weeks of the assignment. Remote Flexibility: Eligible for remote work after 8 weeks, based on performance and manager approval. Work Environment: Must have a private, distraction-free home workspace. Must demonstrate ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality. Training & Work Hours (Central Time) Week 1: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Weeks 2–8: Monday–Thursday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM | Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Weeks 9–12: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
