Radiologist

Please note: Applicants can be based anywhere in Latin America. Company Description Pontis Medical is a rapidly expanding international maritime telemedicine company. We are launching a service which provides radiology reports to medical teams working onboard cruise ships. Role Description Successful candidates will be English-speaking Radiologists who are skilled at reporting x-rays, ultrasound images and CT Head scans. Radiologists will also verbally guide ship doctors on how to perform a variety of ultrasound scans (e.g. abdomen, non-obstetric pelvis, vascular). The language of reporting and guidance will be English . The service is set up to function 24/7, including public holidays. Radiologists will work variable hours per week, based on 8-hour shifts. The turnaround time for some radiology studies will be under one hour. Radiologists will be expected to engage in a continuous process of quality assurance, regular peer review of their reports, and annual performance review. It is expected that Radiologists will maintain their specialist license and registration, and complete at least five hours of CPD per year. Medical malpractice insurance is provided. Hiring Terms Radiologists will be hired as Independent Contractors. Compensation Fee For Service model, based on the number and type of reports written each month. Experience Current or recent experience of working as a Radiologist Qualifications Postgraduate certificate in Radiology Current Medical License Clean Criminal Record Certificate Skills & Knowledge Able to confidently provide written radiology reports in English (required) Able to confidently provide verbal guidance in English on the technique for capturing ultrasound images (required) Expertise in accurately reporting radiographs, ultrasound images and CT head scans. Ability to work independently Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Pleasant, polite manner with an attention to maintain good relations with colleagues and clients.
