Job Description: Designer Sustain Transmissions Engineering Location: South West England, Somerset, Yeovil Job Type: Contract, Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Aerospace and Aviation Secondary Industry: Automotive Job Duties: Design and sustain transmissions engineering components for aerospace and automotive applications Develop innovative solutions to enhance performance and reliability of transmission systems Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design requirements are met Conduct analysis and testing to validate design concepts Participate in design reviews and provide technical support Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Proven experience in transmission system design and development Strong knowledge of engineering principles and materials Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience: Minimum of 5 years in transmission system design and development Knowledge and Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Experience in the aerospace or automotive industry Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards Working Conditions: The role may require occasional travel for meetings or project-related activities. The work environment may involve exposure to manufacturing and testing facilities.
