Medical Surgical Float RN Job Details Location: Anderson, SC 29621 (South Carolina healthcare jobs) Unit: 6 South, Post-Surgical Med/Surg (Resource pool across 5 Med/Surg and 4 Telemetry units) Shift: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:45 - 07:15) Hours per Week: 36 Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 12/15/2025, End: 3/16/2026) Patient Ratio: 1:6 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Orientation: 16 hours (includes online modules) Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1630-$1750 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or compact state (pending license accepted, must obtain prior to start) Minimum 1 year of recent Medical Surgical RN experience (2 years preferred) BLS certification required Experience with Epic electronic health record (EHR) system preferred Ability to float to Med/Surg and Telemetry units as needed COVID-19 and Flu vaccinations required (medical/religious exemptions considered) All requested time off must be submitted with application Registered Nurse Responsibilities Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on post-surgical Medical Surgical units Float to other Med/Surg and Telemetry units within the hospital as needed Manage a patient assignment of up to 6 patients per shift Perform clinical skills including IV management, wound care, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, and more Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services Document patient care accurately using Epic EHR Complete orientation and required online modules prior to start date Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team in Anderson, SC and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
