Job Description
This role focuses on indirect spend in categories such as Consultancy, Audit, Tax, and other Professional Services. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, client-focused professional with deep expertise in Professional Services and experience working with major suppliers in the UK and globally. Experience in a Big 4 consultancy is a big plus. The Expert will lead sourcing initiatives across the full sourcing lifecycle, demonstrate strong stakeholder engagement skills, and collaborate within cross-functional teams to deliver both large-scale and smaller, complex projects. Key Responsibilities: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers Lead sourcing initiatives of varying scope and complexity, from routine renewals to strategic projects, with minimal supervision Conduct market tenders, evaluate suppliers with cross-functional teams, and manage the full supplier selection process Translate business requirements into effective sourcing strategies and deal structures Negotiate optimal commercial terms and draft contracts using standard templates Lead cross-functional deal teams and engage confidently with senior stakeholders Stay informed on market trends and contribute to category plans and opportunity assessments Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency opportunities for Clients Adhere to corporate sourcing standards, tools, and processes Mentor and support less experienced team members on complex sourcing projects Requirements: Degree-level education (MCIPS preferred) 5–10 years’ sourcing experience across relevant categories Strong market knowledge of Professional Services and ability to drive client value Proven experience managing large, complex, global sourcing projects from end to end Hands-on approach with minimal oversight; highly organized and results driven Skilled in leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior stakeholders Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills Ability to structure complex deals, develop sourcing strategies, and draft contracts with limited legal input Experienced in using leading sourcing tools and systems Professional, motivated, and adaptable team player
