Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (Contract) – Data Centre Migration Hybrid / Bristol (on-site once per month) £550 per day (Inside IR35) 3-Month Initial Contract | 12-Month Project About the Role We are seeking an experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a large-scale data centre migration project for one of our key clients. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a critical transformation initiative within a collaborative and technically skilled environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and supporting cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , ensuring a smooth and secure migration process. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the design, build, and deployment of cloud infrastructure in Microsoft Azure . Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates and automation scripts. Support the migration of on-premise data centre workloads to Azure. Ensure high standards of performance, security, and reliability throughout the migration. Collaborate with cloud architects, network engineers, and security teams. Provide documentation and knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer or similar role. Strong Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills – Bicep experience highly desirable. Solid PowerShell scripting skills for automation and configuration. Strong understanding of Azure services , architecture, and best practices. Good knowledge of networking concepts (VNETs, firewalls, routing, VPNs, etc.). Experience supporting or leading data centre migration projects. Contract Details Duration: 3 months initially, with extension expected (12-month project). Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35). Location: Hybrid – remote with travel to Bristol once per month .
