Job Title: Linux Administrator Location: Stevenage, UK (Office based 5 days per week) Job Type: Contract (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 Months Job Summary: Join Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as a Linux Administrator and be part of a dynamic team supporting innovative projects that make a real impact in life sciences, research, healthcare, and technology. You'll work with advanced technologies-including high-performance GPU workstations, enterprise software, and HPC platforms-to ensure systems operate securely, efficiently, and at peak performance. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized support for high-end GPU workstations, ensuring optimal performance for computational tasks. Diagnose and resolve technical issues with advanced troubleshooting to minimize downtime. Install, configure, and manage enterprise software solutions on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) platforms, maintaining compliance with organizational standards and robust security protocols. Conduct performance testing of HPC platforms using custom scripts; analyze data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for system improvement. Prepare and present detailed reports on system performance, resource utilization, and other critical metrics to stakeholders. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support large-scale projects, providing technical expertise to achieve project goals. Lead meetings and coordinate efforts when required to ensure team alignment and project success. Foster collaboration and maintain clear communication among project stakeholders. Skills, Experience, and Abilities Required: Essential: Expertise in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9 (RHEL 9) Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools Experience supporting high-end GPU workstations Knowledge of enterprise software Strong troubleshooting skills for RHEL systems Desirable: Experience with performance testing on HPC platforms and generating detailed reports Strong problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
