Class 2 HGV Driver

Class 2 Driver Location: Cheltenham Hours: 48 hours per week (averaged, Sunday to Saturday) Salary: £35,000 per year Contract Type: Full-time, permanent About the Role We're on the lookout for a confident and professional Class 2 Driver to join a hardworking delivery team based in Cheltenham . This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced driver who takes pride in doing a great job, values customer service, and enjoys being out on the road. You'll be responsible for delivering goods safely, accurately, and on time - keeping things running smoothly while representing the business with professionalism and a smile. What You'll Be Doing Safely drive and operate Class 2 vehicles in line with all legal and safety standards. Load and unload goods securely, ensuring every order is accurate and complete. Deliver to customers on time while providing excellent service. Complete vehicle checks and report any faults or incidents promptly. Keep your vehicle clean and tidy , inside and out. Handle delivery paperwork, handheld devices, and customer payments accurately. Collect and return empty crates and equipment to the depot. Support the team by covering holiday or sickness when needed. What We're Looking For A valid UK Category C (Class 2) licence and Driver CPC card. Strong communication and customer service skills . Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to work. Good time management and the ability to work independently. Comfortable with early starts and some weekend shifts . A reliable, positive, and 'can-do' attitude . Nice to Have Previous experience in multi-drop delivery, logistics, or retail distribution . Experience using electronic handheld delivery systems (training provided).
