Job Description

HVAC Project Manager Site-based Competitive Salary VIQU have partnered with a leading UK organisation specialising in safety-critical HVAC and specialist ventilation systems, a proven partner on high-value nuclear, defence, and infrastructure developments. This is a hands-on Project Manager role, delivering multi-disciplinary, safety-critical projects across high-profile sites. The position offers exposure to complex engineering programmes, strong commercial responsibility, and the opportunity to lead teams in an organisation renowned for technical excellence and quality. Key Responsibilities of the HVAC Project Manager: Deliver complex, safety-critical projects on time, within scope, budget, and quality standards. Lead multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, commercial, and site operations. Act as the main client contact, driving collaboration while protecting commercial interests. Oversee NEC contracts, change control, and margin management. Champion safety, compliance, and quality assurance across all project stages. Drive innovation through digital tools and off-site delivery methods. Manage programmes, risks, and recovery plans to maintain delivery performance. Mentor junior staff and build high-performing project and supply chain teams. Key Requirements of the HVAC Project Manager: Proven track record delivering multi-disciplinary mechanical projects across HVAC, pipework, electrical, and NEP environments. Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and commercial acumen. Comfortable managing tight programmes and milestone-driven delivery. Experience in engineering/design, site operations, and subcontractor coordination. Understanding of manufacturing, off-site assembly, and installation methods. Competence in digital tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, SharePoint, Dalux, ProjectWise. Strong understanding of safe systems of work; SMSTS/IOSH certification preferred. Please note as this is a site-based role you will typically be away from home Monday-Thursday, with accommodation allowance and travel to and from your lodgings expensed.
