Teacher/Tutor - Secondary Maths

About the role We are seeking passionate teachers (current or retired), and pre-service teachers, to join our team of educators who work with students at our learning centre in Drouin. We have exciting opportunities available in the following areas: Secondary Tutor - Maths Candidates may also have the opportunity to facilitate school and kinder incursions with us if they are interested. Job Tasks & Responsibilities: Tutors spend 60 minutes with their students engaging them in their area of expertise. Tutors work with the same students each week during school term dates to build the relationship and support their learning. Cover curriculum in line with student learning in the classroom Creatively use resources provided by STEM Zone. Face-to-face tutoring on-site and can be flexible with some online tutoring if illness/COVID19 prevents onsite attendance for tutors and/or students. This is on a case-by-case basis. We do not offer remote tutoring. Staff tutor at our centre in Drouin, VIC. We value your input, and welcome your creative contributions to our programs. STEM Zone is open from 9am to 8pm Monday to Friday, and weekends by appointment. Able to foster positive relationships with young people and inspire them to find their own passion and direction. Have the right to work in Australia and be available to work on-site. Qualifications: Current teachers will have their VIT registration. Pre-service teachers and retirees will have their WWCC Current Working with Children Check is desirable but can be obtained before starting the role.
