A bit about the role: The role of Trainee Water Treatment Operations is interesting and varied. This role will support day-to-day water treatment plant operation tasks in accordance with all safety, legislative, and reporting requirements. You will assist in delivering routine testing at the plant to meet regulatory and Council requirements and standards and respond to water quality issues with appropriate corrective actions. You will learn how to understand, apply, and ensure that water treatment, storage, and distribution comply with the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines (ADWG) and the Council’s Drinking Water Management System (DWMS). A part of this role will be assisting to carry out routine repairs and maintenance of water and sewer infrastructure, including general housekeeping, minor repairs, preventative maintenance, and, if required, escalate repair or maintenance needs to senior team members. Learn to collaborate with experienced operators. Learn to keep accurate documentation using spreadsheets and digital tools. About the role Trainee Water Treatment Operations is full time employment for two (2) years, and the proposed study will be a Certificate III in Water Industry Operations.
