Job Description
We are seeking to establish a pool of Kindergarten to Year 6 (K-6) Teachers for fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period. Sawyers Valley Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School located in the shire of Mundaring, approximately 40 kms from Perth in the North Metropolitan Education Region. We are ideally seeking educators with exceptional interpersonal skills, who display a natural ability to communicate effectively and foster genuine relationships with parents, students, and colleagues. Teachers within our Early Childhood Education (ECE) phase of learning will ideally promote the principles of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards and have a thorough knowledge of best practices in relation to these. As an ECE teacher establishing a positive and inclusive classroom environment, setting high expectations and cultivating a growth mindset, while nurturing students' social and emotional development is key to this role. Teachers within our Middle Childhood Education phase of learning will ideally be well equipped to build upon the play-based, experiential and intentional teaching approach established in the early childhood. A strong understanding of differentiation to support diverse student needs is highly regarded, along with proficiency in using a range of assessment tools to monitor progress, provide meaningful feedback, and inform future planning.
