Sydney CBD Min 10 years in IT, with at least five years in information system design Expertise in cloud platforms and data technologies ie AWS, Snowflake, AI Fixed term role |Hybrid working | Salary $189,861 (Neg, based on experience) About the Role Lead architecture for data and AI team members responsible for contact centre, quality assurance, complaints resolution, internal review and first line risk activities to support reporting, continuous improvement and innovation for the data, analytics and AI users. The main objectives are to design and plan with vision and foresight to provide high-quality data, identify, infrastructure and define standard information requirements, and design conceptual/ high level solutions and plans to meet our current and long-term data and AI requirements. Access to our Employee Assistance Program Duties It’s an exciting time at icare where no two days are the same; as an Senior Data Platform Architect you will: Understand the information needs of the enterprise with emphasis on executive information consumption and data that comes from or is provided to parties external to the enterprise. Develop and maintain cross-references that map elements of the enterprise data model to information systems, business applications, and data-oriented information technologies. Develop and maintain an integrated, subject-oriented, conceptual then high level enterprise data model representing essential data produced and consumed across the enterprise. Develop and maintain cross-references that map elements of the enterprise data model to organisation, function, and process business models. Identify gaps in Data Architecture Platform and orchestrate eliminating those gaps, leading to: Stay abreast of data and AI industry trends and data models and champion their potential to improve enterprise data and AI architecture. Define and publish data platform architecture and standards. Educate upward and outward about the business value of enterprise data architecture and solid data management. Accountable for Operational Deliverables Standing member of Enterprise Information Architecture Control Plan via data governance council Standing member of the Architecture review board and governance of AI and the Enterprise Data Platform Information and Data Cross-References to other Business, Information System, and Information Technology elements High-level AI / Data Warehousing / Business Intelligence Architecture High-level Data Integration / Master Data Management Architecture High-level Meta-data Architecture High-level Document Management Architecture High-level Data Technology Architecture Key relationships Skills & Experience Minimum of ten years of experience in IT, with at least five years in information system design Understanding of data strategy, including data management, data governance, and data analytics Understanding of data governance, data quality, and data stewardship Design and implementation of scalable data architectures with diverse ingestion techniques Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data architectures Domain-driven modeling expertise, with a focus on business semantics and rules Understanding of data warehousing development techniques, including ETL/ELT, logical data stores, and business intelligence In-depth experience designing and implementing information solutions. Hands-on experience implementing MDM, data integration, document management, BI or data warehouse solutions preferred. Expertise in cloud platforms and big data technologies ie AWS, Snowflake. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture, data governance, data integration, and strategic planning. Effective conceptualisation, pattern recognition and teaming skills Presentation and facilitation skills Business domain, data/content and process understanding (which is more important than technical skills) Strong communication and persuasion skills, including creating marketing and messaging materials to satisfy stakeholder preferences. Ability to analyse project, program and portfolio needs and determine the resources needed to achieve objectives and overcome cross-functional barriers. Data modelling and information classification expertise at the enterprise level Understanding of common information architecture frameworks and information models Understanding of the differences between relational and object modelling Understanding of meta-models, taxonomies and ontologies, as well as the challenges of applying structured techniques (data modelling) to less-structured sources Familiarity with MDM, BI and data warehouse development techniques Ability to assess rapidly changing technologies and apply them to business needs.
