About the role The ICT Support Officer (STS) is responsible for delivering a range of specialist technical functions and services, which support Department for Education ICT network infrastructure and information technology systems for school and pre-school sites across the state of South Australia.The ICT Support Technician reports to the Team Leader, ICT School Technical Support and is responsible for facilitating incident management processes and customer requests to restore normal service operations as quickly as possible to minimise the impact to school and preschool operations. The ICT Support Technician provides a high level of customer service in the delivery of second level support and technical advice relating to issues and requests logged by education system users. The application of best practice is utilised including the ITIL framework combined with a high level of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) technical and behavioral skills. Qualifications Essential: Nil Desirable: ITIL v4 Foundations and/or a tertiary qualification in an ICT related discipline or equivalent experience. Special conditions The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.
