ABORIGINAL IDENTIFIED POSITION Full Time Permanent Contract 37.5 hours per week Join a progressive organisation delivering community-led programs with the Northern Territory's largest Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service. $77,688 to $86,424 per annum Total Effective Package* $97,913 to $107,830 Your role As TIS Officer you will be responsible for implementing local health promotional activities with a focus on tackling indigenous smoking/vaping initiatives. You will be working in a team environment with other health promotion staff to design, implement and monitor Congress health promotion projects. This position supports the TIS Team Leader and Health Promotion Manager to ensure reports are developed. Who are we looking for? Someone to join our dynamic team with the following requirements: Is of Male Aboriginal descent; identifies as a Male Aboriginal person; and is accepted as an Aboriginal person by the Aboriginal community. Experience in developing and maintaining effective networks, alliances and relationships with families, individuals, communities and other health sector organisations. Demonstrated ability to effectively develop, deliver population health activities, evaluate and report on projects and programs effectively. Demonstrated ability to use a computer and its applications at a high standard Current NT Driver's License or the ability to obtain Be a non-smoker with willingness to adhere to the Congress Smoke Free Workplace Policy. Willingness to obtain qualification in Health Promotion. Willingness, ability and appropriate levels of health and fitness to travel to and work from remote locations.
