Senior Analytics Engineer ( BigQuery / dbt / Airflow / Tableau )Sydney / Hybrid$155-170k base DOE plus 16% bonus and super Join a growing data team building the foundations for one of Australia’s most data-driven marketplace businesses. We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer (Analytics Engineer) to take end-to-end ownership of key data products – from ingestion and modelling through to enabling BI and analytics at scale.You’ll join a tight-knit, high-impact squad that’s part of a broader GCP-based data group. The OpportunityThis role sits within the upstream data engineering squad, responsible for building and maintaining core data layers and products that power analytics and decision-making across multiple brands.You’ll:Own the full lifecycle of data products – from raw ingestion through to curated layers.Design and develop scalable pipelines and models that serve BI and advanced analytics teams.Take accountability for data quality, performance, and interpretation of key business metrics.Contribute to the evolution of best practices in data modelling, orchestration, and governance.Collaborate with architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data delivers real commercial value. What You’ll Be Working OnIntegrating and transforming data from multiple hybrid source systems (some legacy).Supporting a multi-brand marketplace with varying definitions of customers, campaigns, and KPIs.Uplifting and enriching data products to deliver insights such as product performance and competitor pricing.Moving beyond reporting to create data products that drive tangible commercial outcomes.
