$62/ hour Wheatbelt Region | Local Role 8:6 Roster DIDO or Regional About Our Client Our client is a well-respected organisation delivering critical maintenance and engineering services across the Wheatbelt region. What You Will Be Doing As the Regional Electrical Maintenance Officer, you will be responsible for performing a range of electrical, electronic, communication and mechanical maintenance tasks across multiple sites within the Wheatbelt region. This hands-on position involves both preventative and reactive maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and compliance oversight. Key Responsibilities: Undertake maintenance and servicing of electrical, electronic, communication and mechanical systems including refrigeration, air-conditioning, sterilisers, boilers, and plant equipment. Respond to issues, troubleshoot faults, and undertake repairs or coordinate external contractors when required. Provide technical advice and recommendations on equipment replacement or improvement needs. Maintain accurate records, reports, and ensure compliance with all electrical and safety standards. Support the installation and commissioning of new electrical and communication systems. Undertake efficient and effective servicing and maintenance of electrical, electronic, communication and mechanical systems and equipment including refrigeration, air-conditioning, sterilisers, hot water boilers, laundry machinery, plant and kitchen equipment. Respond to an issues and undertake initial trouble shooting to identify problems, appropriate solutions and undertake repairs where possible. Communicatate with facility management team and organise external support to resolve issues and undertake repairs as required. Provide initial advice and recommendations to the Facilities Manager and Consultant Engineer on issues, requirements for replacement plant or equipment and potential improvements Provide after-hours availability support for emergency electrical maintenance as required. What You Will Need Essential: Current “A” Class Electrical Licence (WA). Solid understanding of electrical regulations, standards, and safety legislation. Strong problem-solving, communication, and time management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Competence using computerised works management systems and Windows-based programs. Current C Class Driver’s Licence. Desirable: Knowledge of health industry facilities or infrastructure. Understanding of Safe Practice and Environment principles and relevant Australian Standards. Familiarity with Code of Conduct and Ethics within health or government settings. What’s in it for You?
