Job Description
As a teacher at Lindisfarne Anglican Grammar School, you will be responsible for delivering quality teaching and learning experiences that develop students' learning potential. These opportunities have arisen due to internal promotions and extended leave plans within the English Faculty at the commencement of the 2026 academic year. Key Responsibilities Planning and delivery of engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Monitoring student progress through data analysis and assessment outcomes, using this information to inform teaching practices and interventions. Encouraging an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity in literature and fosters critical thinking among students. Liaising with parents, carers and guardians to promote understanding of the importance of English education. The salary will be commensurate with the successful applicant's skills, qualifications, and experience, based on the teaching salaries outlined in the Independent Schools NSW Teachers Cooperative Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2025 ($90,100 - $127,281). Required skills Exceptional proficiency in English language and literature. Ability to teach across the full range of English subjects. Demonstrated understanding of English syllabus documents and assessment strategies. Demonstrated excellence and proficiency as a classroom teacher. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using educational technology and digital resources. Required experience A minimum five years experience teaching English at a secondary level is preferred. Appropriate Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field and NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) accreditation. Ability to implement diverse teaching methodologies to cater to varied learning styles.
