Project Manager - Fire Protection

Your new companyThis specialist contractor is a leader in passive fire protection across commercial, residential, and infrastructure sectors. With a strong reputation for technical excellence and compliance, they deliver high-quality fire-stopping solutions using premium products and systems. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex projects from planning through to completion. Your new roleAs a Project Manager, you will oversee the full lifecycle of passive fire protection projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. You will manage teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement across operations. Key responsibilitiesLead project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation.Manage stakeholder relationships including clients, consultants, and subcontractors.Oversee site operations, safety compliance, and quality assurance.Conduct risk assessments and ensure adherence to AS Standards and Building Codes.Mentor site supervisors and junior staff, fostering leadership and technical growth.Monitor productivity, resolve site issues, and manage variations and commercial risks.Provide regular reporting to senior management and clients.Ensure documentation, RFIs, QA files, and safety plans are maintained accurately. What you'll need to succeedMinimum 5 years’ experience in construction, with 3 years in passive fire protection.Level 3 or 4 Passive Fire Protection certification (or willingness to obtain).Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and compliance requirements.White Card, First Aid, and Site Safe Gold Card preferred.Full driver’s licence and ability to travel between sites.
