Are you an experienced civil construction estimator looking to make a real impact in a dynamic and supportive team? Downer is seeking a skilled Estimator to join our South Australian Projects team, where you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and timely estimates that drive successful project outcomes. About the role As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing civil construction estimates in line with business and company standards. You'll work closely with senior management, project teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure our bids are competitive, compliant, and aligned with strategic goals. Key responsibilitiesPrepare and review civil construction estimates and tender submissionsAnalyse project performance to refine future proposalsMaintain and develop estimating packages and databasesCollaborate with internal stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure value for moneySupport project planning, budgeting, and reportingPromote and uphold Downer's Zero Harm safety cultureEngage with clients to understand needs and exceed expectationsWhat you'll bringProven experience in civil construction estimatingExposure to tender preparation, quantity take-offs, and site scopingStrong understanding of engineering, planning, and schedulingProficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Expert Estimation software desirableExcellent communication and relationship-building skillsMotivated, team-focused, and committed to continuous improvementDowner is a company that believes people are our greatest asset.
