About the opportunity: As a Retail Counter Officer, you’ll be working in a small licenced post office where you’ll be responsible for customer service, processing standard letters, large letters, small parcels and Express Post articles, completing financial services such as bill-pay, banking and money handling, being responsible for balancing the office registers and completing remittances, maintaining stock levels and performing mail sorting duties where required. You will play a key role in supporting our mail contractors who also provide a vital service to our community every day. You will need to be flexible with working additional hours if required, have a great memory and an outgoing customer service nature, excellent attention to detail and can lift up to 16kg of mail and parcels regularly. Basic cleaning duties required. Applicants will be subject to a criminal check and will be responsible for completing all training modules prior to commencing work and on an ongoing basis. On the job training will be provided. Post Experience preferred. Job Type: Part-time Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 24 per week Work Location: In person
