As our Traffic Management Design Officer, you will: Develop and manage Traffic Management Plans (TMP) and Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS) for Council projects. Assess and approve TMP/TGS submissions for internal and external works. Investigate and resolve community concerns about traffic management. Audit and certify works for compliance with standards and safety. Liaise with residents, contractors, and government agencies. Contribute to a positive, multi-skilled team environment. Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills: What You will Bring Certificate IV in Civil Construction (essential) Traffic Management Design qualification (Main Roads, essential) General Construction Induction (White Card) QLD “C” Class Driver’s Licence (or ability to transfer interstate licence) Experience investigatingand resolving traffic management issues Strong communication, research, and technical reporting skills Proficiency in RapidPlan software Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and AustRoads guides Desirable Experience with CAD drafting and spreadsheets Understanding of Council’s risk management framework Why work for Mackay Regional Council?
