$99,022 – $111,457 Pro -Rata (Dep on Skills experience) 12% Superannuation Permanent Part Time role - 3 days a week Coordinate diverse and high-impact projects across Melbourne’s iconic waterwa y About the role The Waterways Business Coordinator sits within the Recreation and Waterways Branch of the Community and City Services Division and offers an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in coordinating the delivery of projects and programs that keep Melbourne’s waterways thriving, sustainable and accessible. This role supports the successful delivery of diverse Waterways initiatives — from infrastructure projects and maintenance programs to community engagement and environmental improvements. Working closely with the Waterways Program Manager and internal teams, the Business Coordinator ensures projects are delivered efficiently, on time, and in alignment with Council procedures and community expectations. You’ll collaborate with colleagues across Council — including Legal, Property, and Finance — to manage contracts, budgets, risks, and reporting, all while helping to shape long-term planning and continuous improvement for Melbourne’s waterfront spaces. A little more about the role Coordinate projects from planning to delivery, including preparing project briefs, proposals and reports Conduct due diligence, manage budgets and maintain accurate project and contract records Collaborate across internal teams to resolve issues and administer agreements Undertake community engagement to support project and program objectives Analyse and resolve complex or abstract issues, providing clear advice and creative problem-solving Contribute to long-term planning and budgeting for the Waterways Unit, working closely with the Waterways Program Manager Why join Team Melbourne? You bring initiative, analytical thinking and strong communication to everything you do.
