This casual carer role suits reliable, empathetic people who enjoy flexible shifts and meaningful, person-centered work. You will provide practical support, companionship, and assistance that helps clients remain independent, safe, and engaged in their local community. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with personal care tasks such as mobility support, bathing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity and privacy. Support daily living activities including meal preparation, light household tasks, medication prompts, and shopping assistance. Provide social and emotional support through companionship, conversation, and community outings to reduce isolation and enhance wellbeing. Follow care plans, report changes in client condition, and liaise with coordinators to ensure continuity of care. Travel locally to client homes and community locations, maintaining punctuality and professional presentation. What We Are Looking For Compassionate and respectful attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills. Reliable and flexible availability to accept shifts on an on-demand basis, including short-notice assignments. Ability to work independently and as part of a small team, demonstrating initiative and sound judgment. Basic understanding of infection control, manual handling, and privacy principles. Comfortable supporting clients with a variety of needs, including those living with dementia or mobility limitations. Mandatory Requirements Full Australian Drivers Licence — current and valid for local travel to client homes and community activities. Working with Children Check — valid and clear, as some community visits may involve intergenerational settings. Police Check — current and satisfactory to ensure client safety and trust.
