As a Junior Financial Accountant, you will have knowledge of accounting standards and financial reporting. The purpose of the role is to: Execute all assigned tasks to maintain complete and accurate financial books and records; compliant financial, statistical, regulatory reporting and tax management. Support robust, efficient and effective transactional banking and payment processes. Work on initiatives that contribute towards the Finance divisions broader strategic goals. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of the Accounts Payable process and ensure invoice an payments are completed in a timely manner Complete timely bank reconciliations Manage corporate card distribution and reporting processes Support with balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring corrective action is taken Provide support to achieve a robust accruals and prepayments process Assist with the month end close process and assist takes to achieve group reporting deadlines Ensure internal and external audit requirements are met as per audit timeline Apply robust and effective controls that ensure the completeness and accuracy of the financial books and records within the business Support the development and maintenance of robust, efficient and effective processes Maintain appropriate segregation of duties, review and approval of journals and calculations Work effectively with the Forecasting, Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team to provide relevant input Your Experience: Bachelor of Comm/BA in accounting, finance or similar field Qualified Accountant preferred (CA, CPA, ACCA or CIMA) Strong reconciliation skills and ability to managing relationships to resolve issues Strong understanding of financial systems and processes Understanding of accounting standards, and financial reporting Strong knowledge of MS Office Demonstrated problem-solver and a team player Time management, and attention to detail Why Ubank?
